2015 HEALTHCARE.GOV ENROLLMENT GOALS

The CEO for the federal health insurance marketplace acknowledges that there is room for improvement, but says the new and improved healthcare.gov website is ready for the 2015 Open Enrollment Period.

HealthCare.gov officials have outlined several goals they hope to reach during the upcoming open enrollment period.

The goals are as followed:

• Enhancement of customer online experience
• Making sure that certain affordable plans are on the self for customers
• Ensuring data and payment systems are accurate and quick
• Maximize the enrollment for new and returning customers

On  October 14th, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid begin to send out notices to remind enrollees about the upcoming enrollment process. These notices included five steps on how you can stay covered. The five steps are as follows:

1. Review: people and plans both change
2. Update: make sure all your information include your income is up-to-date
3. Compare: current plans to new plans
4. Chose: select a health plan, which meets your budget and needs
5. Enroll: by December for January 1, 2015 coverage
