Residents can apply for income based financial assistance when enrolling in ACA compliant health plans that are sold in the exchange which can help lower the monthly premiums for health insurance as well as out of pocket expenses required with many health services.
Income based, subsidies and premium tax credits are only available through marketplace plans. SHOP (Small business Health Options Program) provides employers who have 50 or less full-time employees a way to offer employees health care benefits which will meet health insurance Federal standards.
