The Healthcare.gov website is now open for window shopping. Beginning Monday, consumers may go online and check for available plans. Government Officials say the new site its simpler, faster and there is better security than last year.
The next round of open enrollment period under the Affordable Care Act will begin Nov. 15 and will be shorter. Americans will have until Feb. 15th to enroll. This is three months, compared to the six months last year. If a person wants coverage to start on January 1, you have less time, only a month. You must enroll by Dec. 15th to guarantee coverage for all of 2015.
In 2014, Americans has to answer nine questions before they could review plan options, but this year they will only have to input their zip codes before they can begin to compare plans.
